Abstract
CIE is a reliable method for detection of microbial antigens in various body fluids. A case of neonatal pneumococcal peritonitis is described in which CIE was helpful in detecting microbial antigen in [abdominal] paracentesis fluids. Corresponding bacterial cultures were negative. The usefulness of CIE is emphasized. This publication has 4 references indexed in Scilit:
