Abstract
Two groups of subjects were studied in order to evaluate the effect of digitalis on the coagulation of blood. One consisted of hospital patients in congestive heart failure, the other of normal interns. Control determinations were made of clotting and prothrombin times. Various preparations of digitalis were then administered in therapeutic doses. During administration, serial determinations were made of clotting and prothrombin times. The results were tabulated and the effect of digitalis appraised. Keywords
