Abstract
Four methods, the track, the squirrel cage, the modified entomoto-graph, and the leg-jerk, for recording the activating effect of pyrethrum upon the adult German cockroach, Blatella germanica, are described. As compared to other insecticides tested, including those which contained N-butyl carbitol thiocyanate, rotenone, or nicotine, the results indicate that pyrethrum is unique in its activating effect upon this insect.
