Abstract
Examination of the light petroleum extract of the bark of Planchonia careya has led to the isolation of stigmasterol, a mixture of triterpene monoketones and a series of triterpene diols including olean-18-ene-3β,28-diol (moradiol), and olean-12-ene-3β,28-diol (erythrodiol). Several minor constituents were also assigned as belonging to the germanicol family. Keywords
