Abstract
Report is made of 100 cases of thyrotoxicosis treated with thiouracil. Remission was induced in 87. Protrusion of the eyeballs was not lessened but lid spasm and lid lag were lessened or controlled. Seventy-three of the cases were successful in the sense that they were maintained in remission. In 37 of these, the drug was withdrawn for 2-161/2 mos. without a relapse. Two cases of nonfatal agranulocytosis were encountered. Keywords
