Abstract
A retrospective review of 218 consecutive nephrostomies done on uremic cancer patients revealed an alarming incidence of postoperative morbidity and mortality. Legitimate questions regarding the value of palliative urinary diversion were raised. A rationale was presented to assist physicians in the management of this clinical problem. This publication has 6 references indexed in Scilit:
