Hypertrophy of the Coronoid Process of the Mandible: A Cause of Restricted Opening of the Mouth

Abstract
Hypertrophy of one or both coronoid processes of the mandible with impingement on the zygomatic arch causes restricted opening of the mouth. Four new cases and the previous literature are discussed. The diagnosis is established roentgenographically. The elongated coronoid process should be removed.
