Abstract
A double blind comparative study of the analgesic and anti-inflammatory effect of niflumic acid compared with indomethacin was performed. The study was followed by a long term follow-up for 5 months using niflumic acid. The therapeutic effect of niflumic acid seems to be well established as there was no statistical difference between the two drugs in overall effect. The side-effects were mild, and mainly involved gastrointestinal irritation. Keywords
