Abstract
Presentation of CaseA 52-year-old man came to the hospital for further management of hypertension.The patient was an unemployed construction worker. There was a history of hypertension of 12 years' duration, with difficulty in control and a known tendency to the development of hypokalemia. Evaluation elsewhere, including an intravenous urographic examination, was negative. A treadmill-stress test, performed at another hospital six years earlier, showed horizontal depression of the ST segments at a heart rate of 190; a coronary angiographic examination was negative.
