Abstract
In 18 human temporal bones of patients with normal hearing or sensory neural deafness, the cochlear neurons were evaluated at the level of the peripheral axons in the osseous spiral lamina, the ganglion cells in the spiral ganglion and the central axons in the cochlear nerve in the inner acoustic meatus. the total number and the segmental distribution were both determined.Keywords
