Abstract
Superconducting cuprate samples with nominal composition Nd1·85Th0·15 CuO4-δ were investigated by high-resolution transmission electron microscopy as well as selected-area electron diffraction techniques. Two different kinds of superstructure modulation have been identified. One forms a twinned texture with four crystal variants and has monoclinic symmetry. The other has tetragonal symmetry with a modulation wave-vector of magnitude 3(c/2).Keywords
