Abstract
The article reports on a study which measured the indirect impact of union gains or concession bargaining on the economic interests of firms. A discussion is presented about various categories and incidences of contract concessions and union gains in the negotiation of union worker contracts. The author presents a definition of cumulative excess return and results of regression analysis. Charts are presented detailing various aspects of contract negotiations and contract clauses affected by union concessions or gains.
