Abstract
In studying the relationships between meaning and power, we employ a semantic-praxiological perspective. This perspective focuses upon the constitutive processes that produce meaning in praxis. We distinguish between three forms of symbolic produc tion of meaning: divination, divinatory prophetism, an discourse of authority.Keywords
