Abstract
We studied the lattice dynamics of the high- superconductor Ca in the framework of a shell model which uses short-range overlap and long-range Coulomb potentials. The phonon frequencies and polarization vectors at the point of the Brillouin zone, which are of interest for the interpretation of the infrared and Raman spectra, are presented.
