Abstract
The Marseilles area is an endemic region of Mediterranean tick bite fever. During 1975-1978, 40 [human] cases were observed in 2 medical departments in Marseilles. Maximum occurrence was in Aug. The real incidence of the disease was difficult to appreciate as declaration is not always made even though obligatory. Clinical manifestations remained typical.
