Anisotropic magnetic-field dependence of the specific heat in single-crystal-likeYBa2Cu3O7−x

Abstract
Specific heat of ‘‘single-crystal-like’’ YBa2 Cu3 O7x is measured in magnetic field (Ba) using adiabatic calorimetry. The field dependence of specific heat near Tc for Bac axis is found to be about five times lower than that for Bac axis. The experimental results can be understood quantitatively in terms of the Ginzburg-Landau theory of anisotropic type-II superconductors.
