Abstract
Piedraia malayj. was isolated from a case of human trichosporosis in Malaya. This form is related to P. hortai of N. America. The disease has been known in s.-e. Asia for over 30 yrs., and has been believed to be caused by a sp. of Trichosporon. The production of ascospores by the organism definitely places the fungus in the genus Piedraia. Keywords
