Malignant Melanoma Arising in a Giant Cerebriform Nevus

Abstract

A case is presented of rapidly fatal malignant melanoma developing in a giant cerebriform nevus of the scalp in a 51-year-old woman. This complication occurring in a rare congenital condition again emphasizes the malignant potential of giant pigmented nevi.
