Abstract
[long dash]was demonstrated when trisomic plants of [image]constitution were pollinated by double recessive individuals, since among the progeny there were 9 trisomic individuals homozygous for v 2 and carrying the Pr factor in a simplex condition. The geno-typic constitution of these 9 individuals is proof that crossing over occurred when each chromosome was split or divided into 2 chromatids. Keywords
