Abstract
Several contact and systemic insecticides were effective in reducing populations of the aster leafhopper. The reduced populations were associated with a reduced incidence of aster yellows in barley, flax, and lettuce and an increased seed yield of barley, particularly with insecticide treatments that provided good protection during the seedling stage. Keywords
