Abstract
When heated in hexamethylphosphoric triamide at 80–90°C, preferably in the presence of copper(I) iodide, moderately activated iodoarenes undergo nucleophilic attack by benzenetellurolate ion, giving the corresponding unsymmetrical diaryl tellurides in fair to good yields.Keywords
