Abstract
Young rats reared on a low Na diet (.01% Na) manifested growth failure, and their bones contained 8-10% (depending on method of calculation) less Na than pair-fed controls. Radiosodium exchangeability declined by a similar amount, indicating that the change in Na content involved the exchangeable fraction. Keywords
