Abstract
INTRAVENOUS administration of arterenol (levophed or nor-epinephrine) has been reported to cause tissue necrosis. This has occurred both with and without extravasation.1 2 3 4 The purpose of this paper is to report 2 cases that followed the intravenous use of Neo-Synephrine Hydrochloride as a pressor drug postoperatively. A search of the literature has revealed no similar cases.Case ReportsCase 1. A. H., a 52-year-old Negro, was admitted to the hospital for treatment of malignant hypertension.
