Necrosis Following Intravenous Use of Neo-Synephrine

Abstract
INTRAVENOUS administration of arterenol (levophed or nor-epinephrine) has been reported to cause tissue necrosis. This has occurred both with and without extravasation.1 2 3 4 The purpose of this paper is to report 2 cases that followed the intravenous use of Neo-Synephrine Hydrochloride as a pressor drug postoperatively.
