Abstract
The following is a review of the uses of teacher aides in special education classrooms, a consideration of current aide roles and functions, and a projection of possible aide uses in assisting with instructional tasks. It is anticipated that employment of teacher aides will extend the professional competence of special educators and alleviate the accompanying manpower problem in this area. A discussion of a current research investigation in this area concludes the article. This publication has 0 references indexed in Scilit:
