Abstract
Studies of apparently healthy, older community-dwelling persons have shown that subclinical diseases of different organs are associated with poor physical performance1,2 and frailty.3 In the Cardiovascular Health Study (CHS),4 a lower extent of subclinical cardiovascular disease predicted successful aging, defined as the years lived without physical and cognitive impairment, overt cardiovascular disease, cancer, and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. This publication has 33 references indexed in Scilit:
