Abstract
Members of the braconid genus Opius are important biological-control agents of many tephritid flies. In the early 1950's, many species of Opius were introduced into Hawaii against the oriental fruit fly, Dacus dorsalis Hendel. At that time Hagen (1953) reported that the males of all the species he studied had internal glands originating from the pygidium, and they appeared to differ interspecifically. However, he did not describe these glands.
