Abstract
The hereditary pattern of the Pelger-Huet anomaly in 1 person is presented, as well as a survey-search for the anomaly among approximately 43,000 people. The anomaly was observed in 4 more persons, giving an incidence of a little less than 1 in 10,000. Four of the 5 persons in whom we recognized the anomaly were of German or Dutch extraction. Inasmuch as the incidence reported in Germany is approximately 1 in 1000, this seems to be significant. Keywords
