Benign Chondroblastoma of Bone

Abstract
Benign chondroblastoma in the proximal end of the humerus of an adult male pituitary dwarf has been reported. This is not a common tumor of bone and occurs mostly in younger persons whose growth is not yet completed. Of the 103 cases reported in the English literature, only seven occurred in persons over twenty-one years of age. Since this tumor can apparently occur at any age and since in older persons it is likely to be mistaken for a malignant lesion with a grave prognosis, biopsy and careful evaluation prior to surgical eradication are essential.
