Abstract
Summary Whipworm infections were completely eliminated in 87.5 per cent of patients who were treated orally with a dosage schedule of 200 mg. of dithiazanine three times a day for five days. The cure rate was 71 per cent when a dosage schedule of 200 mg. twice daily was employed. The anthelmintic spectrum of this drug also includes activity against Ascaris lumbricoides. The results of this study indicate that this compound is a very effective trichuricide which is suitable for oral administration. Keywords
