Abstract
The deflection angle χ between the bubble trajectory and the drive field gradient ∇Hz depends on the magnitude Hp and orientation φ of an applied in‐plane magnetic field. A model based on the measured field‐induced static elongation ε and the resulting dyadic form of the viscous drag predicts χ=χ0+(1/8) ε sin 2χ0+(3/2) ε cos χ0 cosφ sin(φ−χ0), where χ0 is the deflection angle for Hp=0. Good agreement with experiment was obtained in an epitaxial film of Eu0.65Y2.35Fe3.8Ga1.2O12 for Hp=40 Oe using a nominal drive across the bubble of ΔH≈2 Oe.Keywords
