Abstract
Dosages of less than 5 mg. of xanthopterin per kg. body wt. produce hemapoiesis in nutritionally anemic rats with an apparent optimum of one mg. per kg. Dosages of 10 mg. or more of xanthopterin per kg. aggravate the condition of anemia. Dosages of less than 5 mg. per kg. produce polycythemia and leukocytosis in normal rats. Dosages greater than 5 mg. per kg. produce anemia and leukopenia in normal rats. Keywords
