Abstract
A new algorithm for the numerical simulation of lattice field theories with fermion degrees of freedom is presented. Changes are proposed on a set of lattice sites or links using an approximate, local updating algorithm. The entire set of changes is then accepted or rejected according to a prescription that makes the algorithm exact. An efficient method of measuring the fermion Green’s functions during the simulation is also presented. The algorithm is expected to be useful in studying a variety of lattice-field-theory problems in three space and one time dimensions. Keywords
