A survey of anthocyanins. V

Abstract
Employing methods previously described (Robinson, G. M., and Robinson, R., Biochem. J., 1931, 25, 1687; 1932, 26, 1647; 1933, 27, 206; 1934, 28, 1712), additional flower petals and permanently pigmented leaves were examined, to determine the nature of the anthocyanin present. In addition, the autumnal coloring of over 200 spp. and vars. was studied. Cyanidin derivatives predominate to a much larger extent in autumnal coloration than in normal flowers and blossoms.
