Abstract
The hyperfine interactions and Mossbauer parameters of a 'Pd6Sn' complex in iron have been measured as a function of temperature and pressure. The pressure coefficient of the hyperfine field is found to be -0.32+or-0.04 Oe bar-1. This result is discussed in the light of models for the generation of hyperfine fields at nonmagnetic elements dissolved in iron, and is found to indicate changes in the charge screening process as being mainly responsible for the pressure dependence.
