Abstract
The scale of psychiatric morbidity in general practice is enormous, and the primary care setting provides considerable opportunities for primary and secondary prevention of mental illness. This paper reviews some possibilities for developing effective primary care services for mental illness, and ensuring sensible integration with secondary care services.Keywords
