Abstract
Numerical calculations of density (magnetization) profiles and of row susceptibilities of the two-dimensional Ising model (or lattice gas), also in nonzero external field, are reported for strips bounded with rows of fixed spins and with particular interactions shown by Abraham to produce a roughening transition at one wall. Low-temperature profiles of two kinds and high-temperature profiles are found. The relation to wetting-nonwetting transitions is discussed. Keywords
