Abstract
The 2 spp. on apple trees in western New York which receive no acaricide exhibit a uniform behavior pattern. The red mite reaches peak activity in mid-July, the 2-spotted spider mite approx. 1 mo. later. In numerous cases in 1950 where the former was virtually eliminated for the season by pre-blossom treatments, the latter mite attained peak activity approx. 3 weeks earlier and was present in numbers over a longer period of time. This publication has 2 references indexed in Scilit:
