Abstract
Estimating rates of DNA, RNA, and protein synthesis has been greatly facilitated by the use of radioactive precursors. Currently available methods to assess macromolecular synthesis in higher plants are time-consuming and imprecise. In the procedure outlined here, the conventional method is simplified by processing the tissue intact. This method allows a rapid analysis and considerably reduces the inherent variability associated with the conventional method. This publication has 1 reference indexed in Scilit:
