PERCUTANEOUS TRANS-HEPATIC EXTRACTION OF COMMON BILE-DUCT STONES

Abstract
In the high risk patient presenting with jaundice, an 8 mm common bile duct stone was diagnosed and extracted by percutaneous transhepatic technique, thereby avoiding operation. The procedure was well tolerated and the patient was free of symptoms during a 1 yr follow-up period.
