Abstract
The case reported below is worth publishing owing to the uncommon site (the second case in the literature) of this fairly rare vascular tumor. Report of Case A 47-year-old healthy man had, over a period of seven years, noticed a slowly growing nodule in the left upper eyelid. It had been slightly tender with no relation to temperature, but had never caused pain. On examination a large, 3×5 mm, bluish, translucent, soft, compressible, well-defined tumor of the left upper eyelid was seen to be situated about 5 mm below the eyebrow. The patient had no similar tumors elsewhere. Prior to excision the tumor was believed to be a simple hemangioma. On examination of the eyelid six months later the scar was invisible and there were no signs of local recurrence. Pathology * Macroscopic Examination. —A 3×3×5 mm skin-covered tissue specimen was examined. The tumor proper measured about 3×3×3 mm. Microscopic Examination. Keywords
