Abstract
The Old Red Sandstone lavas of the Eastern Sidlaws are described. Olivine-basalts predominate. There are also a number of two-pyroxene basalts of which two have been chemically analysed. Comparisons are made with other Old Red Sandstone lavas in adjacent areas. It is seen that the lava suite of the whole Sidlaw range is predominantly basic in character. Keywords
