The colorimetric estimation of stilboestrol, hexoestrol and their glucuronides in urine

Abstract
Methods are descr. for the estimation of the synthetic estrogens stilbestrol and hexestrol and their glucuronides in cow''s or human urine. After addition to human urine, 80% or more of these substances were recovered, except with stilbestrol glucuronide where decomposition during hydrolysis reduced the figure to 63%. Recoveries from cow''s urine were slightly lower in all cases.
