Abstract
The 476 nm excited luminescence spectrum of Cs2NaGdCl6: TmCl3- 6 between 21 000-3800 cm-1 has been recorded and analysed. The spectrum differs from that of Cs2NaTmCl6 in the occurrence of luminescence from the 1 G 4 state. The 1 G 4 → 3 H 6, 3 F 4, 3 H 5 transitions are interpreted in detail. In conjunction with the 3 F 4 ← 3 H 6 absorption spectrum of Cs2NaTmCl6 all of the crystal field levels of 3 F 4 are located.Keywords
