RESPONSE OF THE ISOLATED GALL BLADDER TO CHOLECYSTOKININ

Abstract
Cholecystokinin (from extracts of duodenal mucosa) caused contractions, not due to changes in pH, in the isolated gall bladder of guinea pigs. Gall bladders made incapable, by atropinization, of responding to pilocarpine or acetyl cholin still responded to cholecystokinin and histamine.
