Abstract
SEVERAL STUDIES have suggested that recent improvements in short-term survival associated with hospitalization for acute myocardial infarction (AMI%) may, in part, reflect the early application of myocardial reperfusion strategies.1-4 Patient-associated delay from the onset of symptoms suggestive of AMI to hospital arrival affects the in-hospital and, potentially, postdischarge outcomes associated with AMI, and likely impacts the timely receipt of these and other therapeutic interventions.5This publication has 22 references indexed in Scilit:
