Abstract
As part of social work's response to the current social needs of individuals and families, there has been a reemergence and revitalization of social treatment as a helping method for the provision of direct services. The author describes the rediscoveries as well as innovative developments of operational concepts and procedures that express social work perspectives of the earlier and current social reform eras. Keywords
