A method for examining the relationship between pressure and temperature for the purpose of preventing and treating decubitus ulcers is described in this preliminary report. Measurement of body temperature in normal subjects by high resolution medical thermography is reported, and investigations under way for determining pressure-sore susceptibility of patients are discussed.
