Abstract
It is shown that in addition to the Faddeev equations, there is at least one other formulation of the quantum-mechanical three-body problem which does not possess spurious homogeneous solutions of the type reported by Federbush. This result settles the question of the uniqueness of the Faddeev equations. Keywords
