Infinitesimal canonical transformations of generalised Hamiltonian equations

Abstract
It is shown that for the generalised Hamiltonian equations ut=D delta H/ delta u, the infinitesimal canonical transformations are also the Noether transformations, and both the approach in the Hamiltonian formalism and the one in the Lagrangian formalism lead to the same conserved densities.Keywords
