Abstract
The distr. of numerous pure breeds is used as a basis for examining the distinctive conditions of altitude, monthly temp., and rainfall under which the several types exist. Different plasticities of the breeds in relation to environmental factors are discussed and av. conditions of temp. and rainfall for breeds in their original localities defined, a method being suggested whereby it may be estimated whether situations in respect to these factors in other areas would be favorable to that type.
